Chernov, Leonid I.

Chernov, Leonid I. [Černov], b 18 June 1915 in Starobilske, Kharkiv gubernia. Painter and graphic artist. Chernov graduated in 1941 from the Kharkiv Institute of Arts, where he studied with Mykola Samokysh. His works include the landscapes Blue Evening, Spring Morning, and Wind; the portraits Mother and Natalochka; a series of color autolithographs; watermarks; watercolors, such as In the Carpathians (1954) Through Bulgaria (1956) and Through India (1957); and book illustrations.

This subject is not referenced in any other entries in the Internet Encyclopedia of Ukraine.
