Deliatyn [Deljatyn], formerly known as Diliatyn. Map: V-5. Town smt (2001 pop 8,288) in Nadvirna raion, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, situated on the Prut River. The earliest known reference to the town was made in 1400. There are lumber and food-processing complexes and a woodworking factory located there. Until 1939 it was the site of a salt refinery and salt baths. The town also has a literary memorial museum dedicated to Marko Cheremshyna, who lived there from 1906 to 1912.
