Directory of Subcarpathian Ruthenia

Directory of Subcarpathian Ruthenia [Директорія Підкарпацької Руси; Dyrektoriia Pidkarpatskoi Rusy]. The first executive body of autonomous Transcarpathia, i.e. Subcarpathian Ruthenia within the boundaries of the Czechoslovak Republic. On 17 December 1919 the Prague government appointed the following people to the Directory: Yulii Brashchaiko (trade), Avhustyn Voloshyn (culture and education), Yu. Hadzhega (church affairs), Yevhen Puza (internal affairs), and O. Toronsky (finance). Hryhorii Zhatkovych was president of the Directory. The Directory functioned until April 1920.
