Funduklei, Ivan [Фундуклей, Іван; Funduklej], b 13 November 1804 in Nizhyn, Chernihiv gubernia, d 3 September 1880 in Moscow. Administrator, civic leader, archeologist. In 1839–52 Funduklei was governor of Kyiv gubernia and helped in the publication of materials on Kyiv and the Kyiv region, such as Obozrenie Kieva v otnosheni k drevnostiam (A Survey of Kyiv in Regards to Its Antiquities, 1847) and Statisticheskoe opisanie Kievskoi gubernii (A Statistical Description of Kyiv Gubernia, 3 vols, 1852).
