Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Petroleum and Gas

Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Petroleum and Gas (Івано-Франківський національий технічний університет нафти і газу; Ivano-Frankivskyi instytut nafty i hazu). Formed in Ivano-Frankivsk in 1967 as a technical institute (as the Ivano-Frankivsk Institute of Petroleum and Gas) out of a branch of the Lviv Polytechnical Institute, it was converted into a technical university in 1994. It has sixteen faculties, including automatization and computer science, petroleum and gas industry, geology, petroleum and gas transportation, and mechanical engineering. It has a faculty of petroleum and gas technologies in Simferopol. In 2010 its enrollment was 10,000.
