Kashynsky, Pavlo

Kashynsky, Pavlo [Кашинський, Павло; Kašyns’kyj], b 25 September 1890 in Kyiv, d 3 January 1980 in Munich. Publisher, publicist, and educator. He was head of the Brotherhood of Independentists in Kyiv. He served as principal of Ukrainian secondary schools in Kyiv and Dashiv (1917), Kyiv (1918), Vienna (1942–5), and Munich (1946–53). For many years Kashynsky was director of the Vernyhora publishing house in Kyiv (1916–21), Vienna (1918–23, 1939), and Munich (1946–8). From 1925 to 1935 he published and edited Osteuropäischer Pressedienst in Vienna.
