Kirovohrad National Technical University (Кіровоградський національний технічний унівеситет; Kirovohradskyi natsionalnyi tekhnichnyi universytet). A technical university in Kirovohrad. Formed in 1998 on the basis of the Kirovohrad Institute of Agricultural Machine Building (established in 1967 out of several sections of the Kharkiv Polytechnical Institute). The university has eight faculties—agricultural machine building, mechanical engineering, machine design and exploitation, automation and power engineering, finances and accounting, economy and management, training and re-training of specialists, and training of specialists for work abroad—and a machune building tekhnikum. In 2009 the enrollment was over 7,000.
