Kyiv Army Group

Kyiv Army Group (Kyivska hrupa, aka Tsentralna armiiska hrupa). Formed in August 1919 under the command of Brig Gen Antin Kravs, it consisted of the First and Third Corps of the Ukrainian Galician Army, the Zaporozhian Corps of the Army of the Ukrainian National Republic, the insurgent units of otamans Sokolovsky and Mordalevych, and three artillery regiments. It was one of the three groups that were assigned the task of capturing Kyiv. This task was accomplished on 30 August 1919.
