Lviv National Agrarian University [Львівський національний аграрний університет; Lvivskyi natsionalnyi ahrarnyi univrsytet]. A technical school of higher education in Dubliany, Lviv oblast. It was founded in 1946 (as Lviv Agricultural Institute) on the basis of the agronomy and forestry faculties of the Lviv Polytechnical Institute. In 1996 the institute was reorganized into the Lviv State Agrarian University. In 2008 it was granted a national university status and assumed its present name. The university has six faculties (agricultural technology and ecology, agronomy, architecture and civil engineering, economics, mechanics, and correspondence studies). Both degree and graduate programs are offered. The enrolment is over 18,000. The institute has a 3,791-ha experimental farm and a 500,000-volume library.
