Maslov, Vasyl P.

Maslov, Vasyl P. (Maslii), b ca 1841, d 12 December 1880 in Moscow. Writer and teacher. In the late 1850s he studied in Kyiv, where he became acquainted with Taras Shevchenko. He wrote the first Russian popular biography of the poet (1874) and collected materials on the archeology and history of Ukraine.
