Metelytsia. A fast Ukrainian folk dance performed by many pairs of dancers formed in a circle with one couple in the center. The dance, accompanied by the folk song ‘Metelytsia’ in 2/4 time, conveys the impression of a metelytsia ‘snow flurry.’
