Murovani Kurylivtsi [Murovani Kurylivci]. Map: V-8. A town smt (2001 pop 6,225) on the Zhvan River and a raion center in Vinnytsia oblast. It is first mentioned in historical documents in 1493. It was recognized as a town in 1775 and as an smt in 1956. Its chief industry is food processing. Some architectural monuments, among them an 18th-century palace and park and several 19th-century mansions, have been preserved.
