Ostrivets archeological site

Ostrivets archeological site. A multi-occupational archeological site located near Ostrivets, Horodenka raion, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. Excavations by Markiian Smishko in 1958–60 revealed a Noua culture settlement of 13th to 11th century BC and a Sarmatian burial site of the 2nd to 3rd century AD. The site is best known for the recovery of a stone mold for pouring bronze axes and spear tips.
