Pavlovsky, Oleksander

Pavlovsky, Oleksander [Павловський, Олександер; Pavlovs'kyj], b 27 June 1927 in Zaporizhia. Experimental physicist; corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR since 1979. A graduate of Kharkiv University (1950), he is a specialist in physics of high energy densities and has major achievements in the development of high-intensity neutron sources, high-current accelerators, and hyperstrong impulsive magnetic fields.
