Pereiaslav burial site

Pereiaslav burial site. A Cherniakhiv culture burial ground in the northwestern part of Pereiaslav, Kyiv oblast. Uncovered in 1951 and excavated in 1952–4, the site yielded 42 graves of which 23 were cremations. Pottery shards, glass cubes, bronze clasps, and jewelry were the most frequently recovered grave goods. The wealthiest of the graves contained arrowheads, spurs, and glass game pieces.
