Reedgrass

Reedgrass (Calamagrostis; Ukrainian: ocheretnyk, kunychnyk). A perennial grass, also known as bluejoint, belonging to the Poaceae family. Ten species can be found in Ukraine, the most common being a surface reedgrass (C. epigeios) which grows in meadows, sands, and fallow fields throughout Ukraine and a reedy reedgrass (C. arundinacea) which grows in the shady forests of Polisia.
