Regimental court

Regimental court (polkovyi sud). A criminal and civil court with jurisdiction in the territory of a given regiment of the Hetman state in the 17th and 18th centuries. It was composed of the regimental Cossack starshyna and was headed by the regimental judge. It served also as a military court.
