Rika River

Rika River (also Velyka Rika). (Map: Rika River.) A right-bank tributary of the Tysa River that flows for 92 km through Transcarpathia oblast and drains a basin area of 1,130 sq km. Formed by the confluence of the Pryslip and the Torunka rivers, the Rika has a deep valley in its upper reaches. A hydroelectric station is situated on the river near the city of Khust. The river is also used for industry and water supply.
