Society of Ukrainian Writers and Journalists

Society of Ukrainian Writers and Journalists (Товариство українських письменників і журналістів; Tovarystvo ukrainskykh pysmennykiv i zhurnalistiv). An organization uniting nationally conscious Ukrainian writers and journalists in Transcarpathia, based from 1930 to 1938 in Uzhhorod and in 1938–9 in Khust. Leading members were Vasyl Grendzha-Donsky, Sevastiian-Stepan Sabol, Dmytro Popovych, A. Voron, and Yulii Borshosh-Kumiatsky. The society published several literary works and two almanacs.
