Teatr («Театр»; Theater). An illustrated journal of the arts administration at the Council of People's Commissars of the Ukrainian SSR, published bimonthly (1936–40, ed A. Borshchahivsky) and then monthly (1940–1, ed Ivan Kocherha) in Kyiv (a total of 41 issues). It commented on the activities of professional theaters and amateur theater troupes and featured memoirs and letters from the history of Ukrainian theater. Its successor was Ukraïns’kyi teatr (established in 1970).
