Tendriv Bay

Tendriv Bay. Map: VII-12. A Black Sea bay situated off the southwestern corner of Kherson oblast. This shallow bay is nearly 45 km long, 7 km wide, and up to 6 m deep. It is set off from the Black Sea by the long Tendriv Spit and contains a number of islands. It freezes over in the winter. A section of the bay is situated within the Black Sea Biosphere Reserve, which is responsible for its overall maintenance.
