Uvyvanets. A folk dance performed by many pairs. It has a quick 2/4 beat and demands great dexterity, as the pairs of lovers wind (uvyvaiutsia) themselves around each other. The dance is mostly comical in effect but has some lyrical moments. It has been popular in Western Ukraine.
