Apokrisis. A polemical anti-Catholic work (see Polemical literature) by Khrystofor Filalet, the pseudonym of M. Broniewski or Kh. Bronski according to some scholars. The work was published in Polish in Vilnius in 1597 and in Ukrainian Church Slavonic in 1598 by the Ostroh Press in Ostroh. It is a reply from the Protestant viewpoint to Piotr Skarga's Synod Brzeski i jego obrona (The Synod of Brest and Its Defense, 1597).
