Fotynsky, Orest [Фотинський, Орест; Fotyns'kyj], b 23 December 1863 in Batkiv, Kremenets county, Volhynia gubernia, d 1931 in Zhytomyr. Historian, lecturer at the Volhynia Institute of People's Education, associate of the Volhynia Research Society, and director of the church museum in Zhytomyr (now Zhytomyr Regional Studies Museum). Fotynsky’s works on the history and archeology of Volhynia appeared in Kievskaia starina and other journals. He was the author of Iz semeinoi khroniki dvorian Zagorovskikh vo vtoroi polovine XVI v. (From the Family Chronicle of the Zahorovsky Noble Family in the Second Half of the 16th Century, 1900).
