Myshkovsky, Tyt [Мишковський, Тит; Myškovs'kyj], b 4 October 1861 in Perehrymka, Sianik circle, Galicia, d 4 February 1939 in Lviv. Theologian, biblical scholar, and priest. He was ordained in Peremyshl in 1885, and he completed his TH D in Vienna in 1889 and then became prefect of the Greek Catholic Theological Seminary in Lviv (1889–94). He began lecturing at Lviv University in 1899 and became a full professor of biblical studies in 1908. When he refused to swear an oath of allegiance to the new Polish state in 1918, he was dismissed from the university. From 1920 he taught at the Greek Catholic Theological Seminary in Lviv, and in 1928 he became a full professor, and later dean and vice-rector, of the Lviv Greek Catholic Theological Academy. In 1923–39 he also served as president of the Halytsko-Ruska Matytsia. In addition to several articles in Ukrainian for religious journals, Myshkovsky published the following works in Latin: Chronologico-historica introductio in Novum Testamentum (1892), De ratione litterarum A.T. in Cantico Mariae conspicua (1901), and Isaiae liber in versionibus Graeca LXX et Latina Vulgata et Paleoslavica exhibitus et explicatur (1909).
