Okunevska-Moraczewska, Sofiia [Окуневська, Софія; Okunevs’ka, Sofija], b 12 May 1865 in Storozhynets, Bukovyna, d 25 February 1926 in Lviv. Physician and writer; wife of Wacław Moraczewski. After completing her medical studies in Zurich (1894) she became the first female physician in Austria-Hungary. In 1897 she opened a private practice in Lviv. A friend of Olha Kobylianska, Nataliia Kobrynska, and Vasyl Stefanyk, she was active in the women's movement and contributed to Pershyi vinok under the pseudonym Yeryna.
