Ranok (Winnipeg) («Ранок»; Morning). An organ of the Independent Greek church, published in Winnipeg from April 1905 and edited by Ivan Bodrug. It first appeared monthly; then, after a brief interruption, semimonthly (1907–10); and finally weekly. Ranok contained articles on religion written from a Presbyterian perspective and often sharply polemical in tone; covered general developments in Ukraine and Canada; and printed satire, prose, and poetry. In 1920 it merged with Kanadyiets’ to form Kanadiis’kyi ranok.
