Singalevych, Volodymyr [Сінґалевич, Володимир; Singalevyč; originally Schilling], b 13 January 1875 in Moskalivka, Kosiv county, Galicia, d 1945 in Austria. Politician and civic figure of German heritage. A lawyer by training, he was a member of the National Democratic party, an elected representative to the Austrian parliament from the Peremyshl region (1911–18), and a member of the Galician Diet (1913–14). From 1914 he was in Vienna as deputy chief for the military administration of the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen and as a member of the Ukrainian National Rada and the government-in-exile of the Western Ukrainian National Republic (1919–23, responsible for finances and, later, internal affairs). In 1930–9 he was director of the Land Mortgage Bank in Lviv.
