Yaroshevsky, Oleksander [Ярошевський, Олександер; Jaroševs'kyj], b 25 August 1887 in Pryluka, Poltava gubernia, d 11 November 1977 in Prague. Construction engineer. After completing his studies at the Ukrainian Husbandry Academy in Poděbrady (1931), he worked on many road, bridge, and water-diversion projects in Czechoslovakia. In 1939 he patented an accumulative central heating radiator. He was also a strong supporter of the Ukrainian branch of the Slovak Pedagogical Publishing House in Bratislava and translated a number of Slovak-language textbooks into Ukrainian.
