Ukrainian Labor party (Kyiv)

Ukrainian Labor party (Kyiv) (Ukrainska trudova partiia, or UTP). A political party consisting largely of Ukrainian co-operators (see Co-operative movement), established in Kyiv on 18 October 1917. The UTP was ideologically similar to the Ukrainian Party of Socialist Revolutionaries. It was led by F. Kryzhanivsky, who was its representative to the Central Rada (where he was vice-president) and Little Rada, and later participated in the Ukrainian National-State Union and the Ukrainian National Union. The UTP was a small and relatively insignificant party; it ceased to exist in 1918.
