Onatsky, Mykola [Онацький, Микола; Onac'kyj], b 1878, d 20 April 1907 in Birky, Hadiach county, Poltava gubernia. Civic activist. A peasant deputy from the Poltava region to the First Russian State Duma, he emerged as a leading figure in the Ukrainian caucus in the Russian State Duma. He was a striking and charismatic figure and was instrumental in generating support for the caucus. He was also noted for addressing the Duma in Ukrainian.
