Barącz, Sadok

Barącz, Sadok (Баронч, Садок), b 29 April 1814 in Stanyslaviv, d 2 April 1892 in Pidkamin, Brody county, Galicia. A Polish historian and Dominican monk of Armenian origin. Barącz was the author of works on the history of Galician towns and cities (Brody, Buchach, Stanyslaviv, Zhovkva, Olesko, and others), and on the history of Armenians in Ukraine. He also published a collection of Ukrainian folk tales and proverbs.
