Korobka, Fedir M.

Korobka, Fedir M. [Коробка, Федір], b and d ? Kyiv goldsmith of the early 19th century. He was president of the silversmithщs guild a number of times, and a municipal councilman. Many of his works were done for the Kyivan Cave Monastery: eg, the copper iconostases of Saint Barlaamщs Church (1819) and the Church of the Presentation; silver casings for the icons of Saint Anthony of the Caves (1818–19), Saint Barbara (1822), and the Council of Holy Fathers (1822); five silver lamps; and an engraving of the plan and façade of the Main Bell Tower (1817). Some of these works have been preserved in the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in Kyiv. Korobka’s house, built in the classicist style (1830–1), has been preserved.
