Kushnir, Ivan

Kushnir, Ivan [Кушнір, Іван; Kušnir], b 17 June 1877 in Lviv, d 1 January 1940 in Lviv. Political activist. He was a leading member of the Ukrainian Social Democratic party in Galicia and edited its organ Pratsia. From 1905 he worked in the trade union movement in Lviv. He was arrested by the Soviet authorities during the first occupation of Galicia and died in prison.
