Liubynsky, Vsevolod

Liubynsky, Vsevolod [Любинський, Всеволод; Ljubyns'kyj], b 1840 in Kyiv gubernia, d 1920. Pharmacologist and political leader. An active member of the Ukrainian People’s Hromada, established by Pavlo Skoropadsky in 1917, he participated in Skoropadsky’s coup d'état and served in Fedir Lyzohub’s and Sergei Gerbel’s cabinets as minister of public health. He was a strong advocate of Ukrainianization in the Hetman government and in his own ministry placed Ukrainian officials in key positions.
