Lviv Academy of Commerce

Lviv Academy of Commerce [Львівська комерційна академія; Lvivska komertsiina akademiia]. An institution of higher learning established in Lviv in 1947 as the Lviv Trade and Economics Institute administered by the Central Association of Consumer Co-operatives (Tsentrospilka). It was reorganized in 2004 and assumed its present name. The academy has a teaching staff of over 300, in 4 faculties, 3 institutes, and 28 chairs. It teaches economists about trade, accounting, finances, and commodity management. Its enrollment is approximately 5,000. Its library contains over 500,000 titles.
