Musianovych, Yaroslav

Musianovych, Yaroslav [Мусянович, Ярослав; Musjanovyč, Jaroslav], b 31 January 1915 in Yavoriv, Galicia, d March 1999 in Paris. Emigré community leader in France. He studied medicine in Grenoble and Lyon and then practiced in Lyon and Paris. He headed the Ukrainian National Alliance in France (1949–61) and the Ukrainian Central Civic Committee in France (1979–86). After 1961 he headed the Ukrainian Movement for a Federated Europe (consisting of Ukrainian members of the federalist European Movement) for many years, as well as the Society of Former Combatants of the Ukrainian Republican Democratic Army in France (1979–82).
