Nash pryiatel’

Nash pryiatel’ («Наш приятель»; Our Friend). A monthly Catholic children’s magazine published by the Marian Youth Society (see Marian societies) in Lviv in 1922–39. It was edited by priests of the Basilian monastic order, among them Yosafat Ivan Markevych, T. Hornykevych, and Irynei Nazarko, and illustrated by Jacques Hnizdovsky, Petro Andrusiv, and Yu. Kyryienko. In 1930 it had a circulation of 8,000 copies. The magazine also published a book series featuring works by Catholic writers.
