Pravda, weekly

Pravda, weekly (Truth). A weekly newspaper of literary, cultural, and community affairs published in Lviv in 1927–39. It supported the Ukrainian Christian Organization and was edited by V. Yatsenkiv, Antin Lototsky, and R. Haiduk. A supplement for children, Vinochok, was published in 1932–7. In 1930 Pravda appeared in a press run of 5,000 copies. Its popularity grew, mainly because of its lively style and illustrations, and by 1939 it had over 30,000 subscribers.
