Sakhnivka settlements

Sakhnivka settlements [Сахнівські поселення; Sakhnivski poselennia]. Multi-occupational settlements near Sakhnivka, Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi raion, Cherkasy oblast. Excavations in the early 20th century and in 1949 revealed a Zarubyntsi culture settlement, three early Slavic (7th–8th century) settlements, and a Rus’ manor-fortress, destroyed during the Mongol invasion. A cache of Kyivan Rus’ valuables was found in the area of the fortress in the late 19th century.
