Self-Reliance federal credit unions

Self-Reliance federal credit unions (кредитові спілки Самопоміч; kredytovi spilky Samopomich). A group of Ukrainian credit unions in the United States of America set up since the 1950s by the larger branches of the Self-Reliance Association of American Ukrainians. All of them are regulated and audited by the Federal Bureau of Credit Unions. By 1979 there were 16 such unions, the largest of which were in Chicago, New York, Detroit, Philadelphia, Newark, Jersey City, Passaic, and Baltimore. Along with other Ukrainian credit unions they belong to the Ukrainian National Credit Union Association.
