Visty z Ukraïns’koï Tsentral’noï Rady

Visty z Ukraïns’koï Tsentral’noï Rady («Вісти з Української Центральної Ради»; News from the Ukrainian Central Rada). An irregular organ of the Central Rada, published in Kyiv from April to the autumn of 1917. It contained the Central Rada’s proclamations, including the Universals of the Central Rada, government news, and reports on political developments throughout Ukraine and the Russian Empire. It is an excellent source of information on the early Ukrainian struggle for independence (1917–20). The paper was edited by several Rada functionaries, including Mykhailo Yeremiiv, Ivan M. Steshenko, O. Vus, and V. Skrypnyk. Visty was succeeded by Vistnyk Heneral’noho Sekretariiatu Ukraïny. The first nine issues of Visty were reprinted in the émigré journal Ukraïns’kyi istoryk (1978–9, 1981, 1984, 1986).
