Za derzhavnist’ [«За державність»; For Statehood]. A serial published by the Ukrainian Military History Society in Kalisz and Warsaw (9 vols, 1925–39) and later by the Ukrainian Military History Institute in Toronto (2 vols, 1964, 1966). The editor of the entire collection was Gen Mykhailo Sadovsky. It is an important source for the history of the struggle for independence (1917–20). It consists of memoirs, eyewitness accounts, materials on the different units of the Army of the Ukrainian National Republic, and photographs.
