Byriuchyi Island [Byrjučyj]. Map: VII-16. An island in the northwestern part of the Sea of Azov. Together with the Fedotova Spit the island separates the Utliuk Estuary from the sea. Its maximum length is 24 km; width, 5 km. The island is part of the Azov-Syvash Game Preserve.
