Dorodnytsyn, Oleksii [Дородницин, Олексій; Dorodnycyn, Oleksij; secular name: Anempodyst], b 14 November 1859 in Uspenske, Slovianoserbsk county, Katerynoslav gubernia, d 1919 in Novorossiisk. Orthodox church leader, bishop of Sumy, archbishop of Vladimir on the Kliazma, and rector of the Kazan Theological Academy. Dorodnytsyn was the honorary head of the All-Ukrainian Orthodox Church Council in 1917–18 and professor at the Kamianets-Podilskyi Ukrainian State University. His publications include Iuzhnorusskii neobaptizm, izvestnyi pod imenem shtundy (South Russian Neobaptism, known as Shtundism, 1903); Religiozno-ratsionalisticheskoe dvizhenie na Iuge Rossii vo vtoroi pol. XIX-go st. (The Religious-Rationalist Movement in Southern Russia in the Second Half of the 19th Century, 1909); and Otnoshenie Mitr. Petra Mogily k unii s Rimom (The Attitude of Metropolitan Petro Mohyla to the [Church] Union with Rome, 1930).
