Hladylovych, Demian

Hladylovych, Demian [Hladylovyč, Dem'jan], b 1846 in the Peremyshl region, d 28 January 1892 in Lviv. Galician civic leader. He was head of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in Lviv and one of the founders of the Dnister society and the newspaper Dilo. He administered Dilo for many years and was instrumental in turning it into the foremost Ukrainian daily in Galicia.
