Holovatsky, Rodion

Holovatsky, Rodion [Головацький, Родіон; Holovac'kyj], b 18 October 1917 in Lviv, d 22 July 1985 in Rome. Ukrainian Catholic priest. He studied at the Greek Catholic Theological Academy in Lviv and at the Urbaniana University in Rome. From 1951 he was a parish priest in the province of Misiones in Argentina. In 1959 he was appointed chaplain of Saint Josaphat's Ukrainian Pontifical College in Rome and director of the Ukrainian department of Vatican Radio.
