Malusha [Maluša] (real name: Malfrid), b ?, d ca 1000. Concubine of Sviatoslav I Ihorovych the Conqueror; sister of Dobrynia of Liubech and mother of Volodymyr the Great. According to the ancient chronicles, which recorded her name as Malusha, she was the daughter of Malko Liubchanyn and a favorite of Princess Olha, Volodymyr's grandmother. Other sources say she was the daughter of the Derevlianian prince Mal. The Zapiski of the Russian Imperial Academy of Sciences (vol 5) contain articles on Malusha by D. Prozorovsky and Izmail Sreznevsky.
