Mandryka

Mandryka. A Cossack starshyna family, known from the 16th century. It had several members on the Cossack register of 1649, and it controlled the captaincies of Kobyzhcha company in Kyiv regiment during 1672–1781. The Mandryka family was related to the Polubotok family, the Khanenko family, and other starshyna families. Matvii Mandryka opposed a Ukrainian treaty with Moscow and was executed in 1705 for speaking out against Hetman Ivan Mazepa.
