Mirylo pravednoie

Mirylo pravednoie (Just Measure). A handbook for judges compiled in Kyivan Rus’ in the 12th to 13th centuries. The work contains instructions on just and unjust sentences in the first part, and on civil and church norms of Byzantine law and Rus’ law in the second part. The oldest extant redaction, known as the Troitskyi redaction, dates from the late 14th century. It was published in part during the 19th century and in full in 1961 in Moscow as Merilo pravednoe.
